Green and Silly

Here's the green picture I promised, taken on Monday.
We visited Grandma Mary, who clearly understands the importance of wearing green on St. Patrick's Day, just like we do!

Yesterday was a busy day.

Pop Quiz!

Can you guess which of the following we did?:

a)Ran errands at the University
b)Went on a play date
c)Had coffee with Grandma Cheryl
d)Drove dad to work
e)Had a walk and a coffee with Grandpa Ken
f)Cooked crepes with ham and swiss cheese for dinner

The answer? Secret option g) all of the above! I messed up the order a bit so it wouldn't be quite so obvious. (d, a, c, b, e, f)

Our play date was with Those _____ Girls and Joanne. We went to Sherwood Park to explore the playground at Millennium Place. It was totally free (kids under 2, and Joanne and I didn't have to pay for entry either)!
The three girls had quite a bit of fun together (well, when the two toddlers weren't running away from Katie to climb things or explore!). C is fearless and G is very fun and silly.
And boy, those girls do know how to work a camera!
The playground was pretty busy when we arrived. Katie really enjoyed watching all the kids... excitedly waving her arms. It took a while before she was comfortable being set down though...she kept grabbing onto me so I couldn't let go (I admit, I melt a bit when she does this!) Eventually she relaxed and hung around the cushy mats.
The whole playground has bouncy rubber flooring which feels neat to walk on and not bad to fall on (based on observations, not personal experience). We took a mommy self portrait ( I took about 5 more, but they all looked exactly the same...fuzzy and goofy and not centered). Those ___ Girls are very entertaining...Baby Wrestling!Showing off...Hamming it up...Katie was either exhausted or joining in the goofy fun, hard to tell which.

Really, we had a great time. We may not go there every week because it's quite a drive, but come a rainy summer day when we need a "new" indoor playground, we will remember Millennium Place.

Okay, does anyone else think that random comments from people in foreign countries who don't know Katie is kind of creepy? Or is it just me?
